Product Information and Definitions
There are many differences between OEM Cartridges, New Compatible Cartridges and Remanufactured Cartridges. Knowing about these differences will help you decide which cartridge is best for you.
OEM BRANDED - "Original Equipment Manufacturer"
OEM Stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer." These cartridges are the most expensive on the market because they're branded and come straight from the machines manufacturer (HP, Xerox, Brother, etc.).
These cartridges are made overseas and have a 3% defective rate with a 6 month warranty.
Some people are told they must use this type of cartridge or their machine warranties will not be honored. This is an illegal practice and is in direct violation of the Sherman and Clayton Antitrust Acts.
NEW COMPATIBLE - Best Overall Value
New Compatible cartridges are also new cartridges except for the shell. All the essential mechanics of the cartridge are new, but the shells have been tested and retested giving it a lower defect rate than the OEM at 1.8% with a 12 month warranty.
These cartridges are made in the United States and are less expensive than the OEM because they are not name brand.
New Compatible cartridges will give you the same productivity and reliability you'll find in an OEM.
REMANUFACTUED - Money Saver
Remanufactured cartridges are recycled cartridges. Our cartridges are NOT "drill and fill." Even our Remanufactured cartridges will have new parts in them.
These cartridges have been disassembled and each part is inspected and tested before being reassembled. No ink or toner is recycled. All ink and toner is new.
These cartridges are also extremely reliable and have the best price on the market.
